A Directory of Effective Councilmen
THE FOUNDATION is requesting financial support for a project we are excited about. It is compiling a list of free-market council members in Indiana’s top 25 cities. No, it won’t be a long list but we think it will be an important one. These men and women, often outvoted, deserve help and encouragement. They aren’t getting it from their political party.
With a budget of $6,000, we are asking for $250-$500 donations to fund a professional canvass of Indiana council members and to work up individual profiles. These will make up a 2023 “Foothold” directory of effective and active free-market proponents.
Two of our members, Ryan Cummins in Terre Haute and Jason Arp in Fort Wayne, have modeled successful strategies for a city council. In addition, we are working with Dr. Dennis Ganahl, an independent political consultant, and Ryan McCann of the Indiana Family Institute. Both offer proven leadership-training programs.
Finally, our canvass will pay special attention to those districts that score low on IndianaScorecard.org.
Call me if you have questions and please consider a donation to “Foothold,” the Indiana Policy Review Foundation, PO Box 5166, Fort Wayne, IN 46895, or by PayPal to director@inpolicy.org.
